Jay Rogers

CEO and Co-Founder

John B. Rogers, Jr. is the CEO and co-founder of LM Industries, a technology company that designs, builds and sells vehicles and other high-technology products in partnership with other global manufacturers. This disruptive company is redefining the rapid development of connected hardware by pairing advanced manufacturing with open innovation tools. LM Industries is the first company to utilize Direct Digital Manufacturing (DDM), as evidenced when it debuted the world’s first 3D-printed car, the Strati, in September of 2014. Currently the Company is working on its latest creation, Olli, an urban speed, cognitive, electric, shuttle.

Rogers founded LM after serving for seven years in the United States Marine Corps, where he was an Infantry Company Commander. He has worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Co., as an investment analyst at Ewing & Partners, and at a startup medical device company in the People’s Republic of China. He serves as the Chief Investment Officer and Director of the RBR Foundation, a philanthropic foundation focused on education and healthcare. A graduate of Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, Rogers holds a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School (Baker Scholar).

Vikrant Aggarwal


Vikrant Aggarwal brings more than 20 years of automotive and industrial experience to Local Motors, having managed and grown successful global businesses. His expertise is critical in achieving the company’s worldwide expansion and customer-focused goals. Prior to Local Motors, Aggarwal was the executive director of digital accelerator at Cummins Inc., a Fortune 500 corporation that designs, manufactures, and distributes engines, filtration, and power generation products.?

Aggarwal previously led a mobility-focused team at the Innovation Incubator at Cummins, Inc. developing new cutting-edge technology for powertrains and mobility solutions products. During his two-decade career, Vikrant Aggarwal successfully led Cummins and its global customers in the filtration, power generator and mobility industries and became a master of process development and implementation with the honor of being a Six Sigma Black Belt in Logistics and a winner of the Chairman’s Quality Award. While at Cummins, Aggarwal also distinguished himself in leading diversity and inclusion by, among other things, championing girls in STEM as part of Cummins deep community engagement strategy.

Aggarwal’s extensive global experience – both living in and working with companies around the world – will help accelerate Local Motors’ expansion as it scales in markets across the globe.

Vikrant joined Local Motors’ executive team at a pivotal moment, bringing his experience to strengthen efforts of increasing the efficiency of internal processes, building a customer base, enhancing ongoing relationships, and helping to lead the company, and the industry as a whole, to a brighter future.

Nicholas Cole

Senior Vice President of Sales

Nicholas Cole is a senior global business leader with expert knowledge in the mobility, transportation and automotive sectors.

Nicholas’s experience is highlighted by expertise in developing and launching new businesses and leading cross-organizational change by evangelizing new technologies, streamlining existing business processes and turning around under-performing business units.

Nicholas has worked closely with local governments and third-party stakeholders as part of the strategic process for introducing new disruptive mobility solutions.

Nicholas most recently served as President of Zipcar International, responsible for the transformation and expansion of the brand throughout the EMEA and APAC Regions. Previous experience includes serving as the former CEO of Daimler AG’s Car2Go division, leading the North American launch of the start-up car-sharing business. His responsibilities included developing the business from a pilot project to a viable enterprise with 14 markets throughout North America.

Nicholas also has over two decades of experience in the automotive industry with a base in mobility.

Bob de Kruyff

Vice President of Engineering

As Vice President of Engineering, Bob brings almost 50 years of automotive engineering and product management experience to Local Motors. He has been involved in almost all aspects of vehicle engineering and product release during his years with General Motors, including international experience as Director of Engineering for GM Japan, responsible for joint ventures with major Japanese automobile manufacturers.

Cars are Bob’s hobby, as well as the center point of his professional career. People, Process, and Product are what drives Bob and his efforts to shape the engineering team to develop Olli as a first-class vehicle for today and the future. Bob feels strongly that the passion of the vehicle reflects the passion of the team that created it.
